On Thursday, March 22, Cimatron, Novi, MI, offered an online demonstration of its new progressive-die-design software, CimatronE DieDesign. The software includes a powerful toolset, flexible automation and easy-to-master interface, says the firm. It allows complete processing from quoting to strip design to production.
German CMM Maker Acquires its U.S. Partner

Wenzel GmbH, a manufacturer of coordinate-measuring machines, has acquired Xspect Solutions, Inc., Wixom, MI. Xspect Solutions distributes Wenzel CMM products, and is a remanufacturer of CMMs. Wenzel will begin assembling its Xorbit and LH series of bridge-style CMMs in Wixom. Learn more at

Full-Service Aluminum Service Center Opens Out West

Southern Aluminum Finishing (SAF) Co., Atlanta, GA, has opened a new 20,000-sq.-ft. plant in Redding, CA, equipped for fabrication and distribution of aluminum sheet and extrusions for the commercial construction market.
