IMS Engineered Products Expands ISO Certification Scope

Metal fabricator IMS Engineered Products LLC, Des Plaines, IL, has made the transition from an ISO 9001 certification based on basic fabrication processes to a full-scope certification including all manufacturing and design processes. A manufacturer of modular enclosures as well as custom sheetmetal products, IMS recently relocated to, and refurbished, a 300,000-sq.-ft. plant. Metal Coaters, Houston, TX, has unveiled a new website at
www.metalcoaters.com that includes frequently-asked questions (and the answers to those questions) about coil coating. The company operates Metal Coaters manufacturing plants in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Marietta, GA, and Jackson, MS, and Metal Prep plants in Houston and in Memphis, TN. Metal Coaters of California, Metal Coaters of Georgia, Doublecote and Metal Prep became integrated under the Metal Coaters name on Oct. 29, 2007.
Utah Steel Processor Orders New Leveler Line

Braner USA, Schiller Park, IL, has received an order from Reliance Steel to design and manufacture a hydraulic cassette leveler, servo roll feed and high-speed CTL shear for its Reliance MetalCenter in Salt Lake City, UT. The 300-hp leveler will be equipped with two interchangeable cassettes for leveling material from 72-in.-wide by 24-gauge sheet to 5/16-in.-thick plate of 90,000-psi hot-rolled carbon-steel.
