Die-Matic Joins with Intermex

Die-Matic Corp., Brooklyn Heights, OH, has entered into a joint venture with Intermex Industrial, Chihuahua, Mexico. Die-Matic supplies automotive and commercial stampings.
Intermex is a Mexican private company, founded in 1971, with four business divisions: Industrial Park Development, Industrial Buildings for Lease, Design and Construction and Shelter Services. It has helped over 150 multinational companies establish their manufacturing operations in Mexico. The new venture, says Die-Matic, will provide customers in the United States and Mexico with cost-saving opportunities.
Lincoln Electric Acquires Venezuelan Supplier

Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc., Cleveland, OH, acquired Messer Soldaduras de Venezuela, S.A., the leading manufacturer of welding consumables in Venezuela. Headquartered in Caracas, the company has annual sales in excess of $10 million USD. The acquisition gives Lincoln four manufacturing plants in Latin America--it has two plants in Mexico and one in Brazil.
Tull Metals Installs New Tube-Mill Entry End

Guild International, Bedford, OH, has designed and installed an integrated entry system for feeding coil into a 3.5-in.-OD by 0.180-in.-wall tube mill at Tull Metals Processing, a division of Ryerson Tull in Norcross, GA. The new entry system allows one operator to handle the entire entry end of the mill. It includes a 15,000-lb. double-arm uncoiler with automatic tail out, automatic rotation, and hydraulic feed-up drives. A Speed Funnel guides new coil into a Zipwelder that aligns coil ends, shears the ends square and welds them together. The system went online in October 2001. Learn more at
