BTD Manufacturing Acquires Performance

BTD Manufacturing, Inc., Detroit Lakes, MN, has acquired Performance Tool & Die, Inc., Lakeville, MN. Formed in 1980, Performance Tool & Die has specialized in manufacturing mid-sized to large progressive dies for customers throughout the United States. BTD, a subsidiary of Otter Tail Corp., offers die design, engineering, prototyping and short-run services as well as stamping, assembly, finishing and packaging. With the acquisition, BTD has more than 450 employees in three Minnesota locations.
In other BTD news, the company has named Paul Gintner its president and CEO, following the retirement of CEO and cofounder Earl Rasmussen.

Roll-Kraft Adds Cleaning System for Rolls

Roll-Kraft, Mentor, OH, has added a water-based parts-cleaning systems to its shop floor, to be used for cleaning rollform rolls and equipment parts that the company receives for reconditioning. The carousel unit features octagonal doors to allow simplified loading and unloading and can wash and rinse parts in one revolution. The company expects the washer to save time during the initial phase of receiving and evaluating rolls prior to reconditioning.

Machine Tool Show Set for Taiwan in March
