Next Generation Leaders
Meet the Next Generation of Technology

Monday, February 26, 2007

On Monday, March 26, METALFORM will host the industry’s first-ever Next Generation Leaders Day at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. New and emerging managers and leaders from Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) member companies are encouraged to attend the show, where they will see cutting-edge products and technology and network with other up-and-coming industry leaders. As part of this event, members of the next generation group will visit exhibitors that are launching new products and will evaluate those products in several categories relating to innovation. Winners of the NextGen Innovation Awards will then be selected during an informal meeting of PMA’s Next Generation Leaders Division on March 26 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the convention center. Division activities are open to anyone from a PMA member company who is a new or emerging leader. For more details about this event or this division, contact Mandy Basel at 216/901-8800 or mbasel@pma.org.

Feralloy Coil-Processing Plant
Invests in Sheet-to-Sheet Cleaning System

Friday, February 23, 2007

A new SCS sheet-to-sheet cleaning system from Layhill Processing LLC, Loudin, TN, will soon be installed at the Feralloy Corp. coil-processing and distribution plant in Berkeley, SC. The line, slated to begin operating in April, will enhance the hot-rolled surface for painting, and substantially increase laser-cutting speeds. It also will decrease cleaning time in painted applications. It can clean hot-rolled sheets in thicknesses from 0.056 to ½ in. and in widths from 24 to 72 in. Feralloy is online at www.feralloy.com; learn more about the SCS system at www.layhillprocessing.com.
