Training Set for Plasma Arc Cutting

Centricut, LLC, West Lebanon, NH, a supplier of plasma consumables and torches as well as GMA, oxyfuel and laser consumables, has announced its 2003 training and certification schedule for operators of plasma-arc-cutting (PAC) machines. The company will hold classes in several North American cities to certify mechanized plasma operators in the core principles of PAC theory and operation. The schedule is as follows:
February: Portland, OR, and Calgary/Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
March: Caruthersville, MO, and Mississauga, Ontario, Canada;
April: Detroit, MI, and Mexico;
May: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;
June: Chicago, IL;
August: Los Angeles, CA, and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada;
September: Cleveland, OH.
Also, a seminar is to be held in the United Kingdom at a date to be determined.

The feeds range in width capacities from 30 to 48 in. and feature Indramat BTV controls, anti-backup rolls, crank centering-adjustment guides and overhead wiring.

Fanuc Announces Name Change

Formerly Fanuc Robotics North America, Inc., the robotics supplier has changed its name to Fanuc Robotics America, Inc. The company, based in Rochester Hills, MI, provides robotic systems for a variety of industries in both North and South America, which precipitated the name change.
