Vertical Integration Leads Manufacturer
into Powder Coating

IFH Group, Rock Falls, IL, a manufacturer of fuel and hydraulic oil tanks, as well as fluid-storage and dispensing systems, acquired Williams Powder Coating, Prophetstown, IL, and created a new division dubbed Powder Coaters, LLC. The acquisition allows the company to powder coat fabricated vehicle chassis, large weldments such as tanks and trailers, and other metal-fabricated products larger than 5- by 7-ft. square and 10 ft. long. Die Concepts Takes New Name
to Better Reflect its Capabilities

Wisconsin Metal Parts, Inc. is the new name taken by Die Concepts, Inc., to better reflect the Waukesha, WI contract manufacturer’s capabilities. Once primarily a die designer and builder, the company also provides prototype CNC-machined components, metal stampings and fabricated-sheetmetal parts. Among its press inventory are two 30-ton Bruderer high-speed presses and a 200-ton Komatsu gap-frame press. Learn more at

Coil-Processing Seminar Includes
Petersen Aluminum Tour

Red Bud Industries, Red Bud, IL, will host a coil-processing seminar April 27, 2010, at the Embassy Suites Hotel O’Hare-Rosemont, Rosemont, IL. Attendees will learn about blanking, multi-blanking, leveling, slitting, and new processes (SCS and EPS) for hot-roll black material. Speakers will include Dean Linders, Red Bud’s vice president of marketing; consultant Eric Theis, formerly of Herr-Voss; slitting-technology expert Al Zelt; and Kevin Voges, president of The Material Works and inventor of the SCS and EPS processes. The seminar will conclude with a tour of Petersen Aluminum in Elk Grove Village, IL, where attendees will view two Red Bud blanking lines in operation, processing prepainted aluminum and steel.
