Herr-Voss Opens West Coast
Repair, Reconditioning Facility

Herr-Voss, Callery, PA, has opened a facility in Redlands, CA, offering roll reconditioning as well as journal repair, backup support repair and backup bearing reconditioning for Herr-Voss and other brands of levelers. Herr-Voss West also offers mechanical and electrical field service for all makes of coil-processing equipment.

Stamco Installs Slitting and Inspection Line
for Flat Rock Metal Processing

Stamco, New Bremen, OH, has installed a new slitting and inspection line at the 300,000-sq.-ft. Perrysburg, OH, facility of Flat Rock Metal Processing. The line is designed to process a diverse product mix, focusing on cold-rolled, galvanized and prepainted sheet in widths to 80 in. and thicknesses to 0.156 in. The line can handle coils weighing to 100,000 lb. and runs at speeds to 1200 ft./min. Featured are rotary storage trays for the slitters and coil winds, a powered strip threader with loop doubler and a cassette-type corrective leveler. The line performs top and bottom inspection along with defect mapping. Stamco has installed similar lines at Flat Rock’s Portage, IN, and Eldridge, IA, facilities.

Twin Cities Lands New
Laser Showroom and Training Facility

Advanced Mfg. Solutions (AMS) has opened a 5000-sq.-ft. warehouse and showroom in Lino Lakes, MN, 30 minutes from downtown and the St. Louis/Minneapolis airport. The showroom is home to a new Mitsubishi 2512LVP 35CF heavy-duty high-speed laser-cutting machine. AMS will host seminars and customer demos at the facility, as well as operate AMS Laser Service Inc., with a staff of five service techs.
