Tube and Pipe Mill Seminar Staged for Toronto

Roll-Kraft, as part of its program to produce regional seminars on tube and pipe mill technology, has slated a one-day seminar for its customers in the Canada region, to be held March 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a panel discussion at the end. Geared toward mill operators, supervisors, engineers and tool-room personnel, the program covers tool alignment and setup, integrity and alignment of stands, roll design, tooling maintenance and more. Hypertherm Named One of the Best Employers

In its annual list of “The 100 Best Companies to Work For,” Fortune Magazine has placed Hypertherm, Inc. in 12th place. Hypertherm, Hanover, NH, manufactures plasma-arc-cutting equipment. It employs 566 in the United States plus 38 internationally, the smallest number of employees of all of the companies on the list. Among the good things Hypertherm does for its employees, says Fortune, is provide profit-sharing payoffs that have averaged 23 percent of base pay for five years running.
