Cleveland to Host Interwire 2007 in May

The Wire Association International will hold its 77th annual convention, Interwire 2007, in Cleveland, OH, May 5-10. Co-located with Interwire is the International Fastener Exhibition. Interwire 2007, sponsored by the American Wire Producers Association, Society of Plastics Engineers and Wire & Cable Industry Suppliers Association, will feature more than 500 exhibitors as well as a technical program, plant tours, guest speakers, awards ceremony, committee meetings and networking activities. Unison Wins Big Bid
for Aircraft-Carrier Tube-Bending Machinery

Unison, Scarborough, UK, has won an order for than $2.5 million to supply tube-bending machinery to Northrop Grumman Newport News for aircraft-carrier production. The order, the largest ever for Unison, was secured in conjunction with the company’s U.S. representative, Horn Machine Tools, Madera, CA. Beginning in April, Unison will deliver three of its Breeze machines to bend tubes to 6 in. dia., plus tooling and spares. ISO 14001:2004 for Micro Stamping’s
Environmental Management System

The certification confirms Micro Stamping’s successful implementation and maintenance of its EMS, designed to avoid any potential impact on the surrounding community and also recognizes the company’s commitment to achieve continual improvement of its environmental performance in the future, according to company officials. The Micro Stamping Group of Companies began with the creation of Micro Stamping Corp.
