Dorken Corporation USA, a manufacturer of corrosion-protection coatings, has completed its new North American headquarters and technical center in Grass Lakes, MI. Bowling Green (KY) Metalforming and its parent company Magna Intl. announced last month a partnership with Ford that puts the supplier of automotive stampings in line to produce parts—powertrain and battery-module components--for Ford’s new battery-powered electric vehicle, slated to hit the market in 2011. An article from the
Bowling Green Daily News said that the stamping plant announced plans last September to retool its plant to the tune of $126 million to shift from production of truck frames to automotive parts.
West Virginia to Welcome New Galvanizing Plant

North American Galvanizing & Coatings, Inc., Tulsa, OK, will construct its 11th hot-dip galvanizing plant in Benwood, WV. The plant is scheduled to begin production in late April, to serve customers in the greater Pittsburgh and western PA areas. The firm is renovating an existing building to house the plant, which will employ approximately 20 people. Learn more at
