The privately owned Lih-Ta group, a fastener-manufacturing company headquartered in Taiwan, has opened Pierce Fastener Products (PFP) Inc., in Manchester, MI, a manufacturer of pierce nuts. Expected to employ 30 people by second-quarter of 2009, PFP has an annual capacity of 250 million nuts and is currently tooled to manufacture three body styles—R205, S281 and S311.
