Salvagnini and LVD to Jointly Develop
Robotic Press-Brake Cell

Salvagnini b.v. and LVD Company n.v. have agreed to share engineering resources and technology to jointly develop an advanced robotic bending cell automatically programmed from a 3D CAD model. Slated for installation at a customer’s facility in January 2004, it will provide automated material handling. The cell will be based on Salvagnini’s RoboFormER robotic press-brake cell, and will incorporate an LVD PPEB servo-controlled hydraulic press brake. LVD’s recent advances in adaptive forming will provide real-time angle control. A proprietary control will operate the cell.

The Laser Group of NTC America Corp., Farmington Hills, MI, has sold a five-axis TLM 610 laser-processing system to 3-Dimensional Services, Rochester Hills, MI. The firm designs, engineers and builds rapid-prototype parts. The order is its 11th NTC laser-system purchased since the firm’s founding in 1991.
