Stamtec Cuts the Ribbon
On its New Distribution Center

On October 10, 2001, Stamtec Inc. welcomed customers, vendors and government officials to the official Grand Opening of its new 72,000-sq.-ft. facility in Manchester, TN. The facility, 60 miles from Nashville, serves as a sales, service and distribution center for the firm’s North American customers, and houses presses from 25 to 600 tons on display and ready for shipment. The facility sits on a 27-acre lot and represents the first phase of a planned five-building complex designed to accommodate full manufacturing operations in the future.

ne Trail Wins Export Award

Ohio Governor Bob Taft recently presented the Governor’s Excellence in Exporting Award to ne Trail Technologies, Inc., Fort Laramie, OH. ne Trail exports products serving the tube-bending, hydroforming and press-automation markets. The award recognizes excellence in implementing a plan of action to expand international sales, or to increase sales and employment resulting from exporting activity.

Ware Mfg. Moving from Minn. to S. Dakota

Metalformer Ware Manufacturing, Inc., New Hope, MN, will relocate next summer to a new $2.4 million 68,000-sq.-ft. facility in Lenox, SD, near Sioux Falls. Within 3 years, Ware expects to employ 125 people in Lennox. Some of its 56 current employees will relocate, but most new employees will be hired from the Sioux Falls area. Ware will work with Southeastern Technical College in Sioux Falls to train its new workforce.
