Electrical-Components Maker Installs New Waterjet Machine

Reuel Inc., Goldsboro, NC, has installed the latest ultra-high-pressure waterjet-cutting machine from Jet Edge, Inc., St. Michael, MN. Reuel manufactures insulating components for the electrical power-equipment industry, specializing in molded switchgear components, bushings and other products for medium-voltage electrical-distribution equipment. It also manufactures traction-power substations for mass-transit authorities and large-scale contractors. Its new waterjet-cutting machine joins a large stable of fabricating equipment including press brakes, CNC punching machines and a powder-coat paint line. Prior to investing in the Jet Edge machine, the firm had been outsourcing waterjet cutting. It plans to use the machine to cut fiberglass insulation as well as mild and stainless steel, polycarbonate and copper-alloy sheet. Jet Edge is online at
