New Laser-Sintering Company Born in Germany

German-based companies 3D-Micromac AG (laser micromachining machines) and EOS GmbH (additive-manufacturing services) have jointly established 3D MicroPrint GmbH. EPS-Processed Steel Gains GM and Chrysler Approval

The Material Works (TMW), Ltd., Red Bud, IL, announced that the strip steel it processes using eco pickled surface (EPS) technology has been approved as a replacement for acid-pickled steel by General Motors and Chrysler. Both automakers reviewed tests on the EPS steel, for paint performance and weldability, sponsored by a steel service center and performed by ACT, Hillsdale, MI, and AET Integration, Wixom, MI.
