EPS-Processed Steel Gains GM and Chrysler Approval
The Material Works (TMW), Ltd., Red Bud, IL, announced that the strip steel it processes using eco pickled surface (EPS) technology has been approved as a replacement for acid-pickled steel by General Motors and Chrysler. Both automakers reviewed tests on the EPS steel, for paint performance and weldability, sponsored by a steel service center and performed by ACT, Hillsdale, MI, and AET Integration, Wixom, MI. MMI Cuts Ribbon on Maryland HQ
Stevensville, MD is the new headquarters location of Michigan Manufacturing International (MMI), a supplier of stampings, machined parts, castings, gears, assemblies and more. The November 21 ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by numerous local dignitaries, including Senator Steve Hershey.
