Big, Fast Blanking Lines Installed in China

The sister company of press builder Stamtec, Inc.—Sumikura/Chin Fong Japan—has provided a pair of blanking lines to Thyssen Krupp China. The lines include Model BL4-800-500-2500 four-point high-speed presses rated at 800 metric tons with 196- by 98-in. bed size. Speed ranges from 20 to 60 strokes/min. Each lines also includes a coil feedline, stock washer, cut-to-length shear, oscillating blanking shear and blank stacker.

Electroplater/Chemical Miller Opens New PA Plant

Orbel Corp., Easton, PA, a supplier of electroplating and photo-chemical milling services, has opened a new 57,000-sq.-ft. facility. The larger, more modern facility includes a complete wet lab, a measurement and testing lab and an internal maintenance department. Learn more at www.orbel.com.

CWP Installs Feed Line at Peerless

Peerless Industries, Melrose Park, IL, a manufacturer of audio/visual mounting products, has purchased a 36-in.-wide conventional press-feed line to process brackets for plasma and projection televisions. The line, from Cooper-Weymouth, Peterson (CWP), Clinton, ME, can handle stock 0.030 to 0.164 in. thick in coils to 8000 lb. It includes a ServoMax servo-roll feed, backed-up powered straightener and an exclusive lever-action roll-lift mechanism. The straightener includes a high-speed drive to provide optimum acceleration and deceleration to meet desired production rates without the use of a looping pit.
