Detroit Tool Metal Products (DTMP), Lebanon, MO, has purchased Industrial Tooling & Fabrication (ITF), Fort Madison, IA. DTMP supplies large stampings, fabricated components and subassemblies for the heavy truck, agriculture, construction and appliance industries. ITF supplies heavy-gauge steel components and assemblies for use in the construction and agriculture industries, and offers tool and die and machining services.
Machine-Tool Consumption at 4-Year High

The third quarter of 2004 ended on a high note for U.S. machine-tool consumption, according to AMTDA—the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association—and AMT—The Association For Manufacturing Technology. Through September, domestic machine-tool sales totaled $2,146.95 million, up 42.2 percent over the first three quarters of 2003. Sales for the month of September totaled $389.2 million, up 74.6 percent over September 2003 sales, and the highest level in four years. Learn more at

Hyson Earns PED Certification

Hyson Products, Brecksville, OH, received PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) certification, as well as its ISO 9001:2000 recertification. The PED certification covers Hyson’s manufacture of manifold systems and self-contained gas springs.
