Quality Perforating, Inc., Carbondale, PA, has invested in a new hydraulic 125-ton perforating press with unlimited stroke control. The press, from M. Brück GmbH & Co., can perforate material from 0.030 to 5/8-in. thick, and sheet sizes as large as 78 by 156 in. Maximum speed: 300 strokes/min. The machine can perforate nonsymmetrical patterns and geometric shapes. Quality Perforating manufactures perforated metal sheets, coils and parts, and also performs secondary fabrication services such as welding, powder coating and bending:

Small Tube Products, Altoona, PA, a manufacturer of precision-drawn copper-tubing products, acquired the customer base and other assets of Linderme Tube Co., Cleveland, OH. The transaction is expected to increase Small Tube Products’ manufacturing volume at its Altoona facility by more than 30 percent and lead to the creation of another 20 on-site manufacturing jobs.
