Wisconsin Fab Shop Adds Waterjet Cutting
to Expand its Reach into New Markets

Metal fabricator National Metals, DeForest, WI, has added a 60,000-PSI waterjet-cutting machine to its shop to manufacture its own specialty aluminum and stainless-steel products (tabletops, sinks and custom bracketry), and to provide contract waterjet-cutting services in a host of varied markets, including glasswork, stonework and woodwork. Minster Moving its Expanding Automation Division

The Minster Machine Co. announced plans to relocate its growing automation division from its home in Beaufort, SC, to its global manufacturing headquarters in Minster, OH. “The decision was made to facilitate our automation initiative, which includes expanding our existing technologies and product offerings to include robotic-assisted part and blank handling, intelligent assembly and welding automation capabilities,” says executive vice president David Winch. The automation division, which will move into a newly renovated 15,000-sq.-ft. space, manufactures coil- and die-handling products, in addition to its new offerings; www.minster.com.

Yarde Metals Expands in Ohio, Pennsylvania

Metal-service center Yarde Metals, headquartered in Southington, CT, expanded its processing center in Streetsboro, OH, by adding a pair of plate saws to its equipment lineup—an Amada 1000 and a Kasto model. The facility stocks and processes aluminum rounds to 40-in. dia, and plate to 30 in. Also, the firm celebrated the grand opening of a new 46,000-sq-.ft. service center in Limerick, PA, to process bar, sheet and plate.
