New Verson Press Installed at Chrysler Plant

Enprotech Mechanical Services, Inc., Lansing, MI, has manufactured and delivered a new 1500-ton Verson link-drive press to a Chrysler Group stamping plant in Twinsburg, OH. The press will handle progressive tools at speeds to 40 strokes/min.
Dadco Upgrades its ISO Registration

Dadco, Inc., Plymouth, MI, recently upgraded to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. The manufacturer of nitrogen gas springs had its Quality Management System assessed and found to be in compliance by NSF-ISR in September 2003. Dadco also offers nitrogen gas spring lifters, metric air cylinders and hydraulic core pin cylinders.

Metalprices.com, an online metal-pricing utility, is targeted to those responsible for tracking raw-material costs. The service, available for $150 annually, gathers metal prices from an ever-expanding list of reliable contributors, according to site officials, then publishes a final price range once the accuracy of that range is determined. Metal prices are updated twice daily, weekly or monthly, with Spot Tables offered to display prices on a particular day when a metal price seems volatile. All pricing charts and tables describe location, quality, quantity and the category of the metal buyer represented. In addition, time stamps are placed to indicate when a price was last updated. the site features separate pages for each metal tracked.
News articles add to site information, providing analysis directly from the trading floor. Currently, metalprices.com boasts 2800 subscribers.
