Cincinnati Machine to Merge with Lamb Technicon

Machining- and turning-center manufacturer Cincinnati Machine, and Lamb Technicon, designer and integrator of machining systems and automotive-body assembly systems, plan to combine their business operations. The two Unova divisions will form a new division based in Detroit, MI, by fourth quarter 2003. As part of the combination, the company will merge design responsibility and transfer production of Cincinnati horizontal machining centers and cellular systems to facilities in the Detroit area. Production of the firm’s vertical machining centers and turning centers will remain in the United Kingdom.
