Two Coil-Fed Press Lines Headed to Lear Brazil

Two compact coil lines (SpaceMaster units from Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, MI) are on the way to Lear Brazil, accompanying a pair of Stamtec presses equipped for progressive-die stamping of automotive components. The coil lines, which unwind, straighten and feed coil stock, can handle stock from 0.030 to 0.156 in. thick and 3 to 32 in. wide; www.cpec.com/.

FABTECH Draws Thousands to Vegas

The numbers: 15,000 and 26,000. That’s how many folks attended FABTECH in Las Vegas on its first day (Monday, November 12) and overall. By all accounts the metalforming and fabricating show was a tremendous success, as exhibitors were taking numerous equipment orders right from the show floor. And, optimism for 2013 abounds, as show organizers already have booked more than 500,000 square feet of exhibit space for the 2013 FABTECH show in Chicago.
