STI Certifies Eight Press-Brake-Guard Installers
Tuesday, November 18, 2003
Scientific Technologies, Inc. (STI), Fremont, CA, has approved eight U.S.-based firms as installers of the company’s LazerSafe hydraulic-press-brake safeguarding system after they recently completed an intensive training course. LazerSafe uses a flat band of laser light to continuously cover the zone below the punch over a 40-mm width. This allows an operator to work in close proximity to the punch with no disruption to the approach speed or bending process.
The eight companies approved by STI: Advanced Machine Maintenance, Houston, TX; Buckeye Machine, Forest, OH; Control Imagineering, North Vernon, IN; Formation Machinery & Tooling, Jenks, OK; MCB Management, Arden, NC; Paragon Industrial Controls, Santa Ana, CA; Press Shop Engineering, LaOtto, IN; and Stamptech, Southington, CT.
