ESI Group Acquisition Expands its Reach
Beyond the Automotive Market

ESI Group, a simulation-software developer based in Paris, France, and with a U.S. sales and technical office in Shelby Township, MI, has acquired a controlling stake in Vibro-Acoustic Sciences (VAS), San Diego, CA. VAS produces digital simulation software for high-frequency noise and vibration engineering. The acquisition helps ESI diversify its business outside of the automotive sector and into other industries such as aerospace and defense. ESI Group produces digital simulation software for prototyping and manufacturing processes, including PAM-STAMP software for sheetmetal-forming simulation. Learn more at

Carl Zeiss Industrial Measuring Technology, manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), has purchased 75 percent of Dr. Wolf & Beck GmbH, a manufacturer of optoelectronic distance-measuring sensors located in Wangen/Goppingen, Germany.
