ERP-software provider Plex Systems, Inc., Auburn Hills, MI, announced it has received a $6 million equity investment from numerous sources, including $5 million from private equity firm Apax Partners, as well as investments from company management and its founding investors. A new 4800-sq.-ft. facility in Schaumburg, IL, is the new home of Hirschmann Engineering USA, Inc. The facility will be used for product demonstrations, technical support, sales and marketing activities and distribution of Hirschmann products—dielectric and grinding fluids, EDM tooling and supplies, and more.
