Methods Machine Tools, Sudbury, MA, has opened its new Michigan Tech Center in Wixom, MI. The 36,000-sq.-ft. facility houses a 6000-sq.-ft. showroom of machine tools—machining centers, turning centers, EDM machines and robotic automation—as well as an applications-engineering support staff, regional field service and training technicians and a spare-parts inventory. Trumpf to Expand U.S. Operations

Trumpf Inc., Farmington CT, plans to build a new laser research, development, manufacturing and demonstration facility in Farmington, CT. The new factory—30,000 to 40,000 sq. ft.—will produce lasers and machines for cutting, welding and marking. The firm also plans to invest in capital machinery for existing production facilities. It reports 30-percent growth in U.S. sales last year.
Trumpf also expects to expand its operations in Mexico, with a new sales, service, and demonstration and production facility in Monterrey. Learn more at
