Trumpf Training Certified for CEUs

Customers who attend training classes conducted by Trumpf Inc., Farmington, CT, now can earn continuing education units (CEUs), which then can be translated to academic credit or used to sustain certifications. Trumpf, a provider of fabricating machinery, recently had its training programs certified by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training after a comprehensive authorization procedure.
Each year, according to Trumpf officials, the company conducts more than 200 product training courses on topics such as flatsheet laser cutting, punching, bending and welding.

Metals Service Center Institute Gains Members

Owing to the success of its year-long recruiting campaign, the Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI) has added 41 new member companies. Since May, eight Active service-center companies, three Associate metals-producing companies, one Affiliate and one International Associate company have joined.

Metal Mates Earns Lube Approval from John Deere

Metal Mates, Inc., Waterford, MI, has obtained full approval for its HDP lubricant at John Deere, Ontario, Canada. The lube, according to Metal Mates officials, allows John Deere suppliers to eliminate wash before weld, reduce lube consumption and eliminate oil from their waste streams.
