Esco Opens Mexican Operation
for Assembly and Machining

The Integrated Manufacturing Group of Esco Corp. has begun assembly, machining and clean-room activities in 16,500 sq. ft. of manufacturing space at the Offshore Group’s Roca Fuerte industrial park in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico. From this facility, the contract manufacturer will service customers in the semiconductor, medical-device and aerospace industries.

Johnson Controls to Relocate Seat-Systems Work

Johnson Controls announced that seat-assembly business recently awarded by Ford will be moved from Chesterfield Township, MI, to the Johnson Controls plant in Plymouth Township, MI, as well as a plant in Warren, MI, operated by the company’s Bridgewater Interiors joint venture.
Seat-building operations for the Focus and Town Car will move to Plymouth in July 2004, where seats for Lincoln LS models currently are being built.
