Lincoln Electric Offers Welding Training
at New Lansing M-Tec

The Lincoln Electric Co., Cleveland, OH, has partnered with the Michigan Technical Education Center (M-Tec) at Lansing Community College to offer welding-training programs. The 52,000-sq.-ft. M-Tec center opened in August 2004. Welding programs offered include gas-metal and gas-tungsten-arc welding, aircraft welding and motor sports welding. Courses include hands-on and classroom components. The facility will house 43 welding stations in its lab and eight more in an autobody area. Learn more at

Lubricant Supplier Expands into Chinese Market

D.A. Stuart Co., Warrenville, IL, and its Chinese partner Shanghai Razor Blade Co. have opened D.A. Stuart Company (Shanghai) Limited. The Shanghai-based manufacturing plant will expand the coverage of Stuart-brand rolling oils and metalworking fluids in China. Construction of the facility begins early in 2005. Learn more at

Canadian Stamper Expands into U.S. Market

Fleetwood Metal Industries, Windsor, Ontario, Canada, a supplier of metal stampings and welded assemblies, is building a 65,000-sq.-ft. stamping and production facility in Sylacauga, AL. The firm operates three plants and a sales and engineering facility in Canada, with press capacity to 2000 tons. It makes a variety of white-body, underbody and steering hanger-beam components and assemblies. Learn more at
