Alcoa Consolidates Automotive Businesses in Detroit

Alcoa has formerly opened its new Automotive Center in Farmington Hills, MI, consolidating its seven automotive businesses into a new 86,000-sq.-ft. office building. The new building houses more than 300 design, engineering, sales and marketing personnel. The firm’s automotive business units include Automotive Castings, Advanced Transportation Systems, Cast Wheels, Forged Specialty Wheels and Engineered and Mill Products. They manufacture electrical-distribution and crash-management systems, body structures, HVAC systems, suspension components, closure panels, aluminum wheels and more.
