Kongsberg Automotive Transferring Work to Mexico

Nor-based Kongsberg Automotive, a manufacturer of clutch actuators, stabilizing rods, lumbar supports, head restraints and other products, announced plans to close its plants in Van Wert, OH, and Haysville, KS, and transfer production from those facilities to plants in Nuevo Laredo and Matamoros, Mexico. Hypertherm Acquires CAM-Software Company

MTC Software, provider of ProNest, TurboNest and other computer-aided manufacturing software used for sheetmetal and plate fabrication, has been acquired by Hypertherm Inc., Hanover, NH. Hypertherm manufactures plasma-arc-cutting equipment, and will marry MTC’s software to its CNC motion-control products. MTC headquarters will remain in Lockport, NY.
