Technical Conference Covers Precision Machining

The Precision Machined Products Association, Cleveland, OH, will produce its 2005 National Technical Conference from Sunday, May 1 to Tuesday, May 3, in conjunction with its Precision Machining Technology Show in Columbus, OH. The conference, with the theme Seizing Opportunities in a Whole New World, will include Job Planning Round Tables where attendees can discuss how they would produce typical parts using different types of machines. Recommended Practices for Automotive Weld Quality—Resistance Spot Welding. The document offers advice and criteria for evaluating welds in coated and uncoated automotive sheetmetal applications. It describes weld characteristics, metrics and testing methods useful in evaluating weld quality, under static and dynamic loading. The document was last updated in 1988.
