The Future of the U.S. Tool & Die Industry is Taking Shape, Starting January 29

The Tool & Die Futures Initiative (TDFI) kicks off its inaugural meeting on Friday, January 29, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, at Oakland University in Rochester, MI. Attend the meeting (241 Elliott Hall) to help shape the group and charts its course. The agenda for the meeting includes a presentation from Jeff Engle, a lean expert from Takata who will discuss lean strategies for tool and die companies; Mike Vincent, from the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center, to talk about lean-process training and provide ideas on potential funding opportunities for the group; and Bob Quinn, president of tool and die shop RCM Inc., who will lead the conversation on how the TDFI should be structured.
