Coe Supplies Coil-Feed Line
to Bing Stamp and Assembly

Bing Stamp and Assembly, Detroit, MI, has added a fully integrated 72-in. coil-feed line, courtesy of Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, MI. The line features a CPRF 772 servo roll feed capable of processing material to 0.125 in. thick by 72 in. wide. The feed includes a heavy-duty cabinet base with press-mount brackets, a high-performance maintenance-free AC brushless servo motor and a remote jog pendant. The line also includes a CPPS 305 power straightener with oversized 5-in. pinch rolls and a 30-hp AC variable-speed drive. The CPTT 7215 dual threading table provides for a 15-foot loop. A CPR-PO 30072 coil reel can handle 30,000 lb. of coil, and coil staging and loading is accomplished via a CPCC-30072 hydraulic traveling coil car offering 18 in. of vertical lift.

AISI Elects Nucor CEO as 2003 Chairman

The board of directors of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) has elected Daniel R. DiMicco as its 2003 chairman. DiMicco, vice chairman, president and CEO of Nucor Corp., will serve a one-year term. Also, AISI elected the following to one-year terms as vice chairs: Peter D. Southwick, president and COO of Ispat Inland Inc.; and Guillermo F. Vogel, vice chairman of the board, Tubos de Acero de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. As chairman, DiMicco succeeds John T. Mayberry, chairman and CEO of Dofasco, Inc., who will serve as a vice chair in 2003. For more, visit
