Stainless/Aluminum Supplier Orders Blanking Line

Guy Metals, Blaine, MN, a warehousing and processing service center that specializes in stainless steels and aluminum alloys, has purchased a new precision blanking line from Red Bud Industries, Red Bud, IL. The line, scheduled to begin operating during the summer of 2009, will process coils to 40,000 lb. at widths to 72 in. and material thickness to 0.375 in., and will produce blanks with length tolerance to plus or minus 0.005 in. Included is a heavy-gauge peeler breaker, dual Herr-Voss levelers, flatness-inspection table, PVC and paper applicator and automatic part diverter. Michigan Spring Maker to Open in South Texas

Spring Dynamics, Almont, MI, will soon open a 31,400-sq.-ft. manufacturing plant in Harlingen, TX, to serve its customers operating in Reynosa, Matamoros and Monterrey. It began remodeling an existing facility in January and expects to begin operations within 3 months. The company expects the new plant to employ 35 people by the end of 2013.
