Denso Hopes to Invest Big in Michigan

Denso International America Inc., Southfield, MI, announced plans to invest $750 million in the United States and create more than 1200 jobs, including more than 400 jobs in Michigan. The Tier 1 automotive supplier’s planned $150 million investment in Michigan depends on the approval of state and local tax incentives, according to Terry Helgesen, the firm’s senior vice president of industry relations. The local investment would result in a research and development expansion at its Southfield technical center, and expansion of its manufacturing plant in Battle Creek.
