Carl Zeiss, Maple Grove, MN, appointed Michael Kirchner as president of its Industrial Metrology Group in North America. Kirchner previously served the company as general manager for Carl Zeiss Shanghai Ltd.;

United Performance Metals (UPM), Hamilton, OH, named Kathy Esquerra regional account manager at its west-coast location in La Mirada, CA. She’ll represent the firm in Central and Northern California, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.
