ESI Group, Shelby Township, MI, a provider of virtual-prototyping and manufacturing software, will partner with the Edison Welding Institute, Columbus, OH, to develop comprehensive solutions to weld distortion and residual-stress analysis. The ESI Sysweld software program will be provided to customers for the virtual modeling of global distortion of welded assemblies and structures during and after the welding process.
