prototype inkjet marking tool Wilson Tool…was this prototype inkjet marking tool that can be used in a thick-turret CNC punch press. As demonstrated by Wilson Tool product manager John Johnson, the Smart Mark tool fits into a 2-in. tool station to enable part marking on the press. Use it for part identification, to mark instructions for downstream fabrication and assembly operations (such as the location of bend lines and welds), or for other applications your operators can dream up.

The Smart Mark self-contained unit is battery powered and includes an ink cartridge. The machine controller triggers ink flow following programs developed in the accompanying software. Apply alphanumeric text, bar codes and time stamps.
