Faster processing times, shorter positioning times and added flexibility all are included with the next generation of the TruLaser Cell Series 7000 from Trumpf Inc., Farmington, CT. Job shops as well as operations with large-run, high-production requirements can benefit from the overhauled laser-system mechanics and software for processing in 2D and 3D. Downtime is minimized by a piercing strategy optimized for thin-sheetmetal processing combined with faster positioning speeds.

A new integrated graphical editor, called TopsViewer, allows the user to quickly adapt the processing program to reduce positioning times for new parts. Additionally, LensLine lens-monitoring sensors prevent a dirty focusing lens from being destroyed, which in turn protects the optical path.

Two new axis modules for small and medium-sized rotation of symmetrical components process a range of parts. A flexible partition divides the work area for loading and unloading large parts simultaneously.
