Minnesota Fab Shop Adds Servo-Electric Punch-Laser Combo

Quality Tool, Inc., St. Paul, MN, a contract sheetmetal fabricator serving the medical, computer-hardware, telecommunications and defense industries, has installed a new servo-electric turret punch-laser combination machine. The machine, an Amada EMLK3610NT, combines 33-ton punch capacity and a 4000-W laser. It can process 10-ft. sheets without repositioning and deliver 400 hits/min. on 1-in. centers. An automated load/unload unit optimizes machine run time.
