Friday, June 29, 2018

Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, MI, has delivered four new coil-processing lines to Gill Industries, a Tier One and Two auto supplier headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI. All of the lines are equipped to process cold-rolled steels (CRS), as well as advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) up to 120,000-psi yield.

Three of the lines—two installed at the Trenton, GA, facility and one in Grand Rapids, MI, feature Coe’s 60-in. servo-roll feed; 60 x 20-ft. dual-threading table; 30,000-lb. x 60-in. coil reel; and 4-in. x 60-in. straightener with 6-in. pinch rolls. These lines process CRS up to 0.250-in. thick and AHSS up to 0.080-in. thick, depending on material width.

The fourth line, in Richmond, KUY, is comprised of Coe’s 48-in. servo-roll feed, 48-in. x 20-ft. dual-threading table; 30,000-lb. x 48-in. coil reel; and 4-in. x 48-in. straightener with 6-in. pinch rolls. It processes CRS up to up to 0.250-in. thick and AHSS up to 0.090-in. thick, depending on material width.

All the straighteners are equipped with non-marking chrome rolls and a heavy-duty alligator peeler-dekinker station for hands-free threading and top or bottom payoff ability. All the systems have a roll speed up to 362 ft./min. and straightener payoff rate to 80 ft./min. Coe also provided installation, training and startup at each facility.
