AM services provider Sintavia, LLC, Davie FL, and machine-tool and laser services provider Trumpf, Inc., Farmington, CT, announced an agreement to work together to accelerate the penetration of Trumpf TruPrint metal printers into the global aerospace industry. The agreement includes the early-2018 installation of a Trumpf TruPrint 3000 with industrial-part and powder management in Sintavia’s Davie manufacturing facility, and marks the start of a new strategic alignment for both companies, according to Sintavia officials.

Also, Sintavia announced the addition of two new employees to its senior-leadership team: Rick Clark as vice president of operations and J. Louis Schlegel IV as global vice president of sales. Clark will manage customers’ production builds and work to establish process flows and procedural infrastructure for Sintavia’s “digital factory of the future,” set to open in 2018. Schlegel will be responsible for leading the Sintavia sales team, developing new business opportunities and overseeing AM-supply-chain services for Sintavia’s clients.
