HK Laser & Systems will showcase the Smart Tower eight-tray material screening and loading tower with unload cart. The storage system can handle individual sheet sizes to 60 by 120 in., in thicknesses to ¾ in. and weights to 1600 lb., with an exchange-cycle time for one tray of 120 sec. depending on sheet thickness. Sheet separation is accomplished via magnetic and pneumatic devices and double-sheet detection comes standard. The Smart Tower offers a vertical speed to 40 ft./min. Each tray has a storage capacity of 6000 lb.
