BLM Group USA, a manufacturer of tube and sheetmetal processing equipment, has announced that it plans to move into new headquarters in Wixom, MI. The company is expected to occupy the 75,000-sq.-ft. facility in spring of 2017. The new location will more than double the space of BLM Group’s current facility and provides greater access for customers to explore the company’s products and services via a display showroom. The facility also will have an expanded training area and a separate demo area for hands-on display of its technologies.

“Our new headquarters and tech center is a testament to the growth that we have realized over the past several years,” says Dr. Jeffrey Ahrstrom, president and COO. “The showroom alone is as large as our current building. We’re excited to be able to let our customers see in person a more comprehensive representation of our product line.”

Also, BLM Group USA recently sold a BC80 CNC end-machining center and a CM602 automatic CNC sawing machine to Tube Fabrication Industries, Logansport, IN. Tube Fabrication Industries offers a core capability in the fabrication of precision aluminum and carbon-steel tubing/tubular components for automotive anti-vibration devices.

The BC80 is ideal for cut-to-length, chamfering, facing and part measurement for continuous production of bushings. The unit provides in-process part measurement and 100-percent part-length inspection with detailed SPC reporting. The CM602 is ideal for cutting short and medium-length steel, copper, brass and aluminum tubes, solid bars and profiles. It can handle tube and bar to 4 in. dia. depending on material, and cuts at speeds to 5000 rpm.
