A familiar name in the metalforming industry is back: For the first time in decades, a new press branded under the name of renowned U.S. manufacturer Bliss was presented by Schuler at FABTECH. At the show, Schuler displayed a 250-mton Bliss press with state-of-the-art controls, specially designed for the North American market.

“The Bliss product portfolio also will include 400- and 630-ton straightside presses as well as 80- to 315-ton C-frame presses with one and two connections,” says Paul Nicholson, CEO of Schuler North America. “We have more than $10 million of parts in inventory and service centers all over the continent.”

The Bliss press showcased at FABTECH formed bottle openers as a giveaway for customers at the Schuler booth. The machine structure has been sourced in the Schuler Group and completely remanufactured at the BCN site in Hastings, MI. Available with both Allen-Bradley and Omron controls, Bliss presses are configured for the Internet of Things with features such as condition monitoring and remote access/diagnostics.
