Fontijne Group Acquires Hess Industries IP

Fontijne Grotnes Group, headquartered in the Netherlands and with U.S. operations in Chicago, IL, and Niles, MI, has acquired much of the intellectual property of Hess Industries, Inc., including its Formitt Metal Labs division. The newly acquired product portfolio, branded as Fontijne Formitt, Inc., includes catalytic-converter manufacturing equipment (spinning machines, assembly cells and more), systems for demand-flow metal fabrication and assembly, and laboratory and prototype equipment for spinforming-process development. Fontijne Formitt, Inc. will operate out of the former Hess facility in Niles, MI.
