Paint-Line Upgrades Have Fabricator Feeling Green and Profitable
February 1, 2013Comments
D&S Manufacturing, Black River Falls, WI, has enhanced its liquid-spray painting process to yield “significant time- and cost-savings,” says president and CEO Michael Dougherty, “while improving employee health and comfort.” Among the upgrades is a new spray booth with an expansive opening, enabling the company to spray more parts per cycle—as much as three times as many parts—compared to its previous booth. Also new is a reclamation system to filter phosphates from the wash water and overspray, and an automated drying system with downdraft filtration.
